Browser storage

Effluent Watch stores your watched permits, review status, notes and follow-up dates in localStorage on this device. This storage is essential only to the save-and-return feature. Clearing site data removes those entries. Private browsing, browser restrictions or quota limits may prevent saving; an error appears if a save fails.

There is no cross-device sync or remote notes backup. CSV exports contain public source measurements. Review report and calendar exports also contain your locally entered notes and follow-up date. Check those files before sharing them.

Public records and hosting

The site serves selected public US EPA business/facility records. We do not add personal contacts or private prospect data. Fonts and application assets are served with the site; no external font request is needed. The hosting provider may process ordinary request logs, such as IP address and browser metadata, to deliver and secure the site. No application analytics or advertising SDK is installed.

No commerce or messages

Payments and account registration are disabled. The site does not send your notes, contact facilities or send email. Following an EPA source link takes you to that agency's site and its own privacy practices.
